If you're on the hunt for unusual craft beers, this tiny retail shop specializes in small, innovative breweries from under-represented corners of the world. There seems to be a emphasis on fruit flavors and dessert-influenced beers, and their selection is definitely unique in Tokyo.
Some recent discoveries have included Cherry Blast Sour (Spectrum Beer, Vancouver), Strawberry Pie and Triple Berry Pie (Brewski, Sweden), Beach Pink Lemonade (Strathcona Beer, Vancouver) and Galactic Peach Dragon IPA (Odin Brewing, Washington). A trio of chocolate-infused beers (Milk Chocolate, Mint-Chocolate and Orange-Chocolate) from Spectrum were well balanced and not too sweet, a refreshing change of pace.
The shop has adopted a no-frills sales concept taken to the extreme - everything here is sold direct from a vending machine. The single machine is stocked with thirty canned beers, and the roster changes regularly, with lots of limited-edition seasonal items. Most are priced in the Y620-870 range. At the moment it's take-out only, but there are plans for in-store drinking in the future when circumstances permit.
