This pioneering craft-beer bar attracts Japanese connoisseurs from all over town with its excellent selection of twenty beers on tap, many of them brewed by Ushi-Tora themselves. Taps include a few hand-pumped and cask-conditioned real ales.
The shop is spread out over two non-adjacent rooms on the same floor, one of them mainly a standing bar. The small food menu is good and inexpensive, with tasty beer-friendly dishes like deep-fried octopus, fish and chips, spicy fried chicken and shepherd's pie. The atmosphere is quiet and low-key, and service (in Japanese) is friendly and helpful.
