Located on the third floor of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, Arriviamo is a very pleasant place to stop in for a cocktail or two. The decor is stylish (the building was designed by architect Kengo Kuma), with a spacious terrace area offering a nighttime view of nearby Naka-Meguro. The bouncy background music is lively but not so loud as to impede conversation. Most important though, Arriviamo drinks are original, creative and fun.
Many of the cocktails incorporate coffee or tea, such as the Espresso Martini, made with a freshly pulled shot of espresso (your choice of three different types) combined with single-malt vodka, vanilla-bean flavorings and chocolate. The New Tokyo Fashion is based on an Old Fashioned and is a mix of Japanese bourbon, plum wine and coffee, garnished with a cherry leaf. The Kaga Salt Caramel Milk Tea is a dessert cocktail made with brandy and Hojicha tea, topped with a butterscotch espuma foam.
There are similarly creative non-alcoholic mocktails, sweet hot coffee drinks like the Creme Brulee Latte, and coffee-and-ice cream combos. The food selection changes with the seasons and throughout the day, featuring savory tarts and charcuterie plates, cakes, pastries and other light snacks. Most cocktails are priced at Y1,500-2,000 each, and there's no cover charge.
