The popular lunchtime karaage teishoku here is built around big, juicy pieces of fried chicken, served with curry salt, mayonnaise and lemon for dipping. Oyako-don (chicken and egg over rice) is another lunch option, and in the evenings Taruhei turns into a yakitori-centered drinking spot, with charcoal-grilled chicken and vegetables priced Y80-200 per skewer.
