Craft beers are accompanied by an extensive Japanese food menu at this 30-seat bar-restaurant next to Kamiyacho Station. The casual menu wouldn't seem out of place in a typical Tokyo izakaya, with classic dishes like organ-meat stews, fried tofu, and spicy chijimi pancakes along with sashimi of the day and grilled meats. Our grilled skirt steak came with a nice chimichurri-style sauce, and the original potato salad was livened up with a hefty dose of wasabi.
The bar's ten taps dispense five domestic and five imported beers from breweries like Green Flash, Crucible, Modern Times, Y Market and Swan Lake.
Draft beers are priced from Y650 for a half-pint and Y950 for a pint, and there's also an interesting selection of hard-to-find imported canned and bottled craft beers. Food is served in small portions and is very reasonably priced, with most items going for Y350-600.
