A sake and soba restaurant, Kuraya serves soba made from 90% buckwheat, supplemented by simple izakaya fare like grilled fish and chicken, and tofu and yuba dishes. The sake is from well-known regional breweries like Tengumai, Kubota and Ichinokura, and there are also a few sake-based fruit liqueurs. Budget around Y2800 at dinnertime.
