Tucked away in a back street beyond Bunkamura, Arossa started out as a successor to one of Tokyo's first Australian-only wine bars. The regular wine list is extensive and reasonably priced; plus there's an impressive reserve list for those extra-special occasions. Several choices are available by the glass at any given time.
The excellent food menu is basically Italian - simple grilled dishes, pastas, and seafood items - all consistently well prepared. Some favorites include the grilled lamb chops and the kangaroo steak in wine sauce, but be sure to check out the daily chalkboard specials.
The pace of service at dinnertime can be leisurely, but this is a great place for a late-night snack over a bottle of wine. Y500 service charge.
