L'Habitude is a classic French neighborhood restaurant, with good, meaty fare and casual bistro-style seating at small but well-spaced tables. The wine list is extensive and quite reasonable, with bottles mainly from Burgundy, Bordeaux and Languedoc-Roussillon. A good number of bottles are priced in the Y4,000-5,000 range, with 500ml decanters available for most of them.
The dinnertime prix-fixe menu features your choice of starters like marinated salmon (served in a pastry wrapper) and assorted fruits de mer, served with greens and herbs. Main dishes like duck confit (a specialty of the house) or grilled pork come with a nice selection of well-prepared vegetables, and there are also a couple of "omakase" mini-starters like lobster bisque and mushroom pie.
In addition to wine there's also big selection of digestifs for your after-dinner enjoyment. Five-course prix-fixe menus, with your choice of starter, main dish and dessert, are Y3,800, while lunch starts at Y1,320 for two courses.
