The draw at this old-fashioned basement shop is the spicy Japanese-style beef curry, which is served along with loud jazz - mainly bebop recorded on the Savoy record label. This is classic old-school Japanese curry - the sauce is rich and peppery, and the curry is served with tangy cole slaw and four kinds of pickles. Note that this is one of the narrowest restaurants in town, and it takes some effort to squeeze in and out.
