Kyoto Beer Lab

Open 3-11pm daily.

This small brewpub offers eight of their own well-produced beers on tap. These often including creative varieties like Macadamia Brown Ale, Blueberry Cheesecake Sour, and Wasabi-Salt Gueuze. The food is fancier than average beer-bar fare - artisanal bacon, hand-cut french fries and braised beef tendon in red-miso sauce are typical offerings.
Beers are Y700 and Y1000 for half-pints and pints, while three-part tasting flights of your choice are Y1400. Most small dishes are in the Y400-700 range. The cozy interior can be a tight fit during busy hours, but there's also some outdoor seating, including on the bank of the small river in front. Dogs are allowed.
