The popular fast-casual burger chain was created by New York restaurateur Danny Meyer (Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern), and serves Angus-beef burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard milkshakes and custard desserts that are unique to each branch. The Smoke Shack cheeseburger, with cherry pepper relish and applewood-smoked bacon, is especially recommended. The draft beer is made by Brooklyn Brewery, and wine by the glass or bottle is from Frog's Leap winery in California.
