The specialty of the kitchen here is Sri Lankan-style soup curry - like regular curry, but served in a bowl of fragrant, spicy broth to which you add mounds of rice to soak up the flavors. There are just a handful of main ingredients to choose from - roast pork, fried garlic shrimp, or dal beans - but with numerous optional toppings (cheese, coriander, spinach and mushrooms, mashed potatoes, chili paste) to provide some variety.
