Spatzle serves modern German cuisine along with German wines and beers in a casual, stylish dining room. The Y1800 lunchtime prix-fixe menu is a nice introduction to the restaurant's cuisine - it comes with spatzle (in either a cream- or tomato-based sauce), a choice of main dishes like sauerbraten and oven-baked fish, plus a salad and a beverage. Our spatzle was appealingly creamy and cheesy, with a solid, meaty sauce, and our sauerbraten was tender and delectable. If you're in a celebratory mood you can upgrade to the Y3800 lunch menu featuring Norwegian salmon and roast duck.
At dinnertime there are nine different spatzle variations to choose from, along with substantial main dishes like grilled Hokkaido beef, salmon poele and eisbein.
