Both South Indian and North Indian cuisines are the specialties at this bayside branch of one of Tokyo's better Indian restaurants. Their Y1200 weekday lunch buffet includes three curries, a vegetarian biryani, raita, medu vada donuts, and a few other dishes, along with nan, a drink and dessert. It's not huge, but everything is tasty and distinctively flavored, and on weekends they bring out some slightly fancier items. The dinner menu is a la carte and reasonably priced - budget around Y2000.
This book will introduce you to more than twenty of Japan's favorite specialty foods that are less well known abroad, along with a guide to the best places in Tokyo to try them and expert tips on what to order. From Bento.com.
