The recommended dish here is the double-size portion of gyukatsu (beef cutlet) with menchi katsu (deep-fried minced-meat patty) on the side (Y1180). The beef is tender and served rare in the middle, with wasabi and an excellent sauce that's both spicy and a bit sweet. The menchi katsu is the perfect counterpoint - very juicy with lots of onion bits adding texture and flavor, wrapped in a crunchy fried shell.
Gyukatsu is available in single, double and triple servings, with optional grated yam or grated daikon radish toppings for an extra Y100 or so. Purchase a ticket for your meal from the ticket machine at the door when you arrive. No dinner on Saturdays.
