22 (pronounced 'two two') draws a laid-back gourmet crowd with its inviting, bar-like atmosphere, friendly service, and affordable modern bistro fare.

Dishes are priced from Y600-1,000 and served tapas-style, on small plates for sharing. The house specialty, foie gras marinated in tamari soy sauce (Y1,000), is worth a try. The lightly fried eel (Y1,000), served with a thick Balsamic vinegar reduction, pairs nicely with a mineral-laced Chardonnay from Puligny-Montrachet.

Wines by the glass start at Y600. There's no list: all the bottles (Y2,500-) are displayed on a shelf behind the bar. Budget Y4,000-5,000 for food and drink.
