 | | Arossa: Shibuya | Arossa 3469-0125 Shibuya / Italian Shoto 1-26-22. [between Bunkamura and Shoto Park] Open 6pm-2am daily. : Click for full-size map : Click to bookmark on your i-mode phone : Open late : Open Sundays | Tucked away in a back street beyond Bunkamura, Arossa is in the reincarnation of the old Rocks 125, one of Tokyo's first Australian-only wine bars. The regular wine list is extensive and reasonably priced; plus there's an impressive reserve list for those extra-special occasions. Several choices are available by the glass at any given time, with by-the-glass prices 20% cheaper after 10pm.
The excellent food menu is basically Italian - simple grilled dishes, pastas, and seafood items - all consistently well prepared. Some favorites include the grilled lamb chops (Y1800) and the kangaroo steak in wine sauce (Y1800), but be sure to check out the daily chalkboard specials.
The pace of service at dinnertime can be leisurely, but this is a great place for a late-night snack over a bottle of wine. Y500 service charge.
